Grammar simple past

SPELL CHECK simple past regular verbs
(-ed endings)
Add -ed to verbs ending in a consonant: watch→
watched
Add -d to verbs ending in -e: dance → danced
. With verbs ending in -y (after a consonant), change
the y toi and add -ed: cry → cried
Don't change the -y to -i after a vowel: play→ played
Double the final consonant for most verbs ending in
consonant + vowel + consonant: stop-stopped
