5x + y = -2          (i)

2x + 4y = 10        (ii)

(i) : x = ( -2 - y ) / 5

(ii) : x = ( 10 - 4y ) / 2

Por método de igualación:

( -2 - y ) / 5 = ( 10 - 4y ) / 2

sacamos mcm de 5 y 2 = 10

2 ( -2 - y ) = 5 ( 10 - 4y )

- 4 - 2y = 50 - 20y

- 2y + 20y = 50 + 4

18y = 54

y = 3

Reemplazamos en i:

5x + y = - 2

5x + 3 = -2

5x = 5

x = -1
