Helena: I would marry with my boyfriend if he proposed to me.
Leon: If I won the lottery, I would quit school.
Helena: Really? I wouldn’t quit school even if I won the lottery. Why would you quit school?
Leon: Well, I think it is boring…
Helena: I agree that some subjects might be boring, but many things are fun. Besides, school allows you to learn things that you might never learn otherwise.
Sam: I agree with Helena. I would go to college in another country if I were rich. I think it is very important to learn as much as possible. The more you know, the more you can make your money last. Then, when you are older, you might not really need to work, and you can just enjoy your money.
Helena: Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. If I had a lot of money and learned how to invest it, I would travel all around the world after finishing my education.
Leon: Well, I think I would just quit school and I would travel the world. You can also learn a lot through experiences. I think school is not for me. However, since I am not rich, I will not quit school, don’t worry. (laughs)
Helena: Well, dreaming is free. (laughs)
¿Cómo se escriben las frases con el second conditional?
Se debe escribir una oración con dos cláusulas. La cláusula que empieza con "if" tiene el verbo en past simple (pasado simple) y la otra clausula contiene would + el verbo en infinitivo.
En el caso de la conversación tomaremos como la segunda frase condicional la que comienza con “if”.
