The Musketeers of the Guard (in French Mousquetaires de la garde), also called Black Musketeers and Gray Musketeers, were a fighting company of the military branch of the Maison du Roi, the royal house of the French monarchy. His name was later popularized by the novels of Alexandre Dumas.
