Martin está apurado. Está llegando tarde al trabajo de nuevo. Al jefe de Martin no le gusta cuando llega tarde. Martin llegó tarde la semana pasada. Su jefe le dijo que no llegara tarde de nuevo. Realmente no estaba bromeando. Estaba serio. "Lo digo en serio", recuerda Martin que le dijo su jefe. Martin piensa que podría perder su trabajo si llega tarde de nuevo. Ahora son las 7:15 a.m. Martin necesita estar en el trabajo para las 7:30. Le lleva 22 minutos conducir hasta el trabajo. "Las cosas no pintan bien", se dice a sí mismo. Martin sale corriendo de la casa. Salta en su coche. Pone el coche en marcha atrás. Retrocede sin mirar. ¡BOOM! Hay un sonido como si alguien golpeara un tambor. El coche de Martin se detiene bruscamente. Ha golpeado el coche estacionado detrás de él. "¡Oh, no!" exclama Martin. Ahora está enojado. Martin mira su reloj. Son las 7:18. Necesita llegar al trabajo. Mira a su alrededor. No hay nadie en la calle. No hay nadie cerca. Mira en el coche estacionado. Está vacío. Martin se va rápidamente en su coche. Llega al trabajo 10 minutos tarde. El jefe de Martin no está cerca. "Gracias a Dios", se dice a sí mismo. Deja de preocuparse. Se sienta en su escritorio a trabajar. Durante el almuerzo, Martin sale al estacionamiento. Mira su coche. Hay una gran abolladura en la parte trasera. Luego piensa en el otro coche, el coche que golpeó esta mañana. "Sé que ese coche también está dañado", piensa él. Se siente culpable. "Eso no estuvo bien", se dice a sí mismo Martin.. Verá si el coche todavía está afuera de su casa cuando salga del trabajo.
