Exercise 10: Read the following text and answer true or false.
My best friend Lucas has always wanted to travel abroad to
study and settle down in an English speaking country. He
says that if he lives in another country, he will experience
the culture and will improve his English. He is a very
good student so if he gets the best scores, he might
get a scholarship, and if he gets a
scholarship.
he will be able to apply to work or study in a
foreign country. I am sure that if he tries hard
enough, he will get his goals. If Lucas goes to
live in another country, I might go visit him. If
everything goes well, we will all be happy
and fortunate. Now, on the other hand, if
he doesn't get the scholarship, he may
feel a bit disappointed, but he will do
great in the country, since he is a
very hardworking and committed
person. He is very responsible,
and he does not get
emotional easily when
things take the wrong
direction.
